SAMUEL DALE: WRITER / DIRECTOR
Samuel is a writer, animator, producer and part time physicist who began his filmmaking career with the award winning short A Day in the Life of Jim-Paul Sartre... the Younger Less Well Known Brother of Jean (1995) which pioneered the use of digital technology to blend live action and animation. This process was refined for many projects over the following decade and utilised to great success in the mobile phone series The Peculiarity Lounge (2007 - 2010) which enjoyed a global audience of more than two million paying viewers. Samuel also put his scientific training to good use in 2005, working as chief scientist and writer on The KNTV Show, a six part educational series for Channel 4, which was nominated for a Scottish Bafta.
JENNIE JACOBS: WRITER / NAOMI INDIGO
Jennie is an actress, singer and writer who has appeared in straight plays, musicals, music videos, shorts and features. She was recently the face of the Toshiba Times Square ad in New York. Highlights of her career include The Vagina Monologues, playing Pitti-Sing in The Mikado, Marie in Camus' The Misunderstanding, and Jade in Dave The Less-Than-Average Fairy at the Tristan Bates Theatre. Jennie also performs as part of a comedy cabaret act called The Rudy Vees and as a member of the classical-pop crossover group Ancora.
KRISTINA LAO: PAX COLE
Kristina Lao trained at the London School of Musical Theatre, and is an actor, voice artist and singer-songwriter. She has featured in campaigns for Toni & Guy, Esprit, and Nike, and short films, including Sick To My Bones. She recently moved to Vancouver to continue her work in the entertainment industry and further her training in film and stage combat.
JOSEPH LEEDER: DR TORVALD CRAWLY
Joseph is a versatile actor / comic who has toured the UK and Germany extensively, playing roles ranging from the quadriplegic Ken Harrison in Whose Life is it Anyway? To Rooster Hannigan in a London production of Annie. In addition to his theatre roles, Joseph has also worked as a comic in London and Edinburgh and had lent his wide range of distinct accents and voice to several animated productions.
LEROY NOEL: COLONEL KYLE LYNX
Leroy is a dedicated performer who delves deeply into his roles. Over the last few years, his passion and natural ability has shone out in a number of advertisements short films.
LILA PALMER: DR ILSA KINDRED
Lila Palmer is an actress, author and classically trained soprano. Theatre credits include Hortense Schneider in the biopic, Bouffe! (Brighton Fringe) Abigail in The Crucible, Regan in King Lear and the title role in Hedda Gabler. As a singer her roles have included Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro, Ghosts of Versailles), Rose Maybud (Ruddigore) and Zerlina (Don Giovanni). Musical theatre includes Nancy in Bart’s Oliver. She was a member of English National Opera’s OW Ensemble 2013/4. An alumnus of New England Conservatory; Cambridge University and Aspen Opera Theatre Centre, Lila is currently enrolled as a writer in the flagship Opera Makers program created by the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Royal Opera House, supported by the Goldsmiths Scholarship. Her first opera, Cover Me, will premier in London in July 2016.
DARREN KING: EDITOR
Darren has travelled the world, working on dozens of film and television productions. He has enjoyed particular success in children’s television, working on popular shows such as Jump Nation, Skate Nation, Basil’s Swap Shop, Escape from Scorpion Island and Mister Maker. Darren has also worked on several documentaries including the acclaimed Nina Simone: A Tribute and reality strands like Make Me a Supermodel and Who’ll Age Worst? as well as The Voice and the phenomenally popular Strictly Come Dancing and it's sibling shows.
NEIL PARKES: DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY / LIGHTING CAMERAMAN
Neil is a skilled Lighting Cameraman who has worked on a broad range of location and studio productions for all the major UK Broadcasters. His credits include scrapheap Challenge for Channel 4 and I Own Britain’s Best Home and Monkey Life for Channel Five. Neil has also worked on the BBC’s factual / documentary strands Inside Out and The One Show and the world’s longest running series with the same presenter, The Sky at Night. He has also covered sporting events like Sailing and Superbikes for the BBC and Eurosport respectively.
ALEX WEEKS: COMPOSITOR / EDITOR / ANIMATOR
Alex studied stop motion animation at the University of West England in conjunction with Aardman Animation. He has edited trailers promoting titles like Sherlock, Doctor Who, The Shadow Line, Top Gear, DCI Banks and Panorama for BBC Worldwide as well as working on globally distributed cinema advertisements.
MATT WILKINSON: SOUND AND MUSIC
Matt has worked on numerous independent film and theatre projects. His work includes sound design and editing on the feature D Effects, and score and sound effects on Game Theory at the Tristan Bates Theatre, London. Matt also writes for Extreme Music, a library which provides tracks for MTV, AMC and Sony Pictures.
ANTONIA LAWES: COSTUMES / HAIR / MAKE-UP
Antonia runs a successful vintage clothing business and online fashion range. She has styled numerous music videos and photo shoots, and has worked in the art department on live shows and independent films.
